I have a million & 1 reasons to HATE this photo
The double chins from looking down
The big belly with the wet shirt sticking to every curve
The feet always anchored to the ground that never want to give me an air pic lol
But I don’t hate it
I love it
Not because of all the very real flaws I see
But despite of them
Because for the first time I see lots of positives too…
I see a mum running with her son
Both of us are laughing as we run
Carefree running and laughing in the rain
Not caring what I look like
Not caring about all the eyes watching me
Not caring about the camera trained on me
Not fussing to pull my shirt down or lift my head to a more flattering angle
Just not caring
Just running
RUNNING & LAUGHING IN THE RAIN WITH MY CHILD
What a precious moment to capture
I would usually never ever ever publish such a photo of myself for the world to see
But I am today
You know why?
Because this is the sort of moment I never EVER would have dreamed I would be doing right now if you’d asked me just a few shorts months ago when I couldn’t even run 10 metres!
Never ever.
But I’m so proud I am
I’m so chuffed my kids & groom tell me how proud they are of me xxxx
I’m so proud how my entire life, how our whole family’s lives, are completely changing since we all began running and attending parkrun Australia
This is life changing
This is LIVING!!!!

Equine Physiotherapist, Hayleigh Reid and her husband Nigel have mapped out the perfect…
It seems like the most unlikely of locations to find love, but parkrun has brought many couples together around the world. Port Macquarie couple, Kylie Scott Young and Kiel Bigeni met just before Valentine’s Day last year at their local parkrun and after one thing led to another, the couple are due to be…
