Patrick Kidd and I have been part of the parkrun Community for many years. We had no idea how much interest his proposal would generate from our fellow parkrun runners and walkers both at Cleveland and around Australia.
parkrun in Australia, and around the world, means different things to different people. Competitive athletes like Patrick and I run our own races each week whereas others use this weekly opportunity to rise early out of bed and join friends to increase their fitness and socialise. One thing is abundantly clear is that everyone joins parkrun wherever they are and whatever their fitness level because of the awesome community spirit it brings.
Patrick and I have never felt so loved and included as we have over the last few days. Thank you everyone in the parkrun Community for your spirit, enthusiasm and heartfelt best wishes.❤️❤️❤️
