This year we will again be supporting the European Week of Sport #BeActive campaign with Sport Ireland.

As part of the #BeActive week in September there will be a competition aimed at highlighting projects and individuals dedicated to the promotion of sport and physical activity across Europe.

One of the competition categories is called the #BeActive Local Hero Award, that aims to recognise an individual who has worked consistently to promote participation in sport and/or physical activity in his or her local community.

You can find all the details here.

Applications must be emailed to ewos@sportireland.ie before 24 July 2017.
