How to spend more time running and less time shopping this Christmas!

Intersport Xmas Tag_900x416

We’ve been so busy running that we’ve barely noticed the shops filling with twinkling lights and festive cheer – all trying to remind us that it’s only five weeks until The Big Day! Or, in parkrunners’ terms, five weeks until we don Santa hats for our Christmas parkrun and generally feel great for getting out there! Here at Intersport we’re certainly looking forward to lots of winter runs to blow away the cobwebs and keep us happy and healthy.

We don’t feel too bad mentioning Christmas if it means brand new running kit and shiny new accessories – as obviously these kind of gifts are completely necessary in making us feel fabulous and helping us to achieve our goals. Right? So now is definitely the time to check out your local Intersport (find your nearest store here) and leave a few hints as to what you’d like to see in your stocking!

Alternatively, browse in-store for gifts for running friends and family and you can have your Christmas shopping all wrapped up in one trip – leaving more time to get out there and RUN!

Remember that you can claim 10% off at Intersport as part of our ongoing parkrun partnership price #PPP*. Simply show your parkrun barcode (#DFYB!) to claim 10% off running products in store at Intersport.

Keep sending us your pictures via Twitter @IntersportIE and like us on Facebook.

See you at your next parkrun!

*PPP valid at all participating Intersport stores; see our website for details. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.

So when 50 or so years later Event Director at Lough Key parkrun, Patricia Kelly, suggested doing Erris parkrun on New Year’s Day I was delighted to accept…
