Vhi is encouraging parkrunners to vote for their Vhi parkrun Hero, the monthly award has helped to recognise and reward inspirational, hardworking and dedicated members of the parkrun community who embody the ethos of parkrun or have made an outstanding contribution.

In May, the Vhi parkrun Hero was launched and since then there has been a brilliant response from the parkrun community with nominations coming from all over the country. If you know a parkrun participant or volunteer, who deserves to be celebrated as a Vhi parkrun Hero, please tell us about their story using the online application form. Winners are announced each month and receive a €250 One4All voucher and plaque courtesy of Vhi.

If you think someone from your local parkrun deserves to be celebrated as a Vhi parkrun Hero, nominate them at www.vhi.ie/running

Past winners include Padraig Brogan from Mayo, Lisa Kennedy from Carlow, Stuart Van Der Bliake from Wexford and Lisa Cumiskey from Dublin.
