Volunteer Profile

hagley park.JPG -1

Name: Colin Thoms (‘twice-around Colin’)

Age: Young at heart

Home parkrun:  Hagley

Number of Runs: 64

Number of times volunteered:  Most Saturday mornings (at least 30 times)

Favourite volunteer role:  Colin goes further than anyone else. In fact, he goes around the course twice each week. The first time very early before anyone else, he does the course setup. You see him quietly joining the rest of us with his trusty bag, now empty of the markers, to join us and run the course a second time.

Volunteers at parkrun because: Colin is one of those ‘good sorts’ and simply enjoys being involved and helping out.

One thing we love about Colin is: His dedication, willingness and great volunteering spirit!

My most memorable parkrun moment was: This week we managed to catch a photo of him doing his good work!
