Thanks for the fantastic turnout to help us celebrate our first birthday! A massive thank you goes to the volunteers and our national sponsors New Zealand Home Loans. Hope you had as much fun as we did! It was great to see tourists from Australia and a couple of out -of- towner’s. Well done to those who ran their first parkrun. Awesome to see so many kids running – it was a record number. Well done to those who won prizes and hope all of you enjoyed the cake! – Puarenga parkrun report from anniversary

Well done on the 1 year celebration yesterday. Great turnout, and nice to be able to stay around for coffee and bacon butties afterwards – Chris Bycroft, Puarenga

What a fun morning it was! Thank you runners, joggers, woggers, walkers, doggies, volunteers, and Jason – Olivia Harris, Puarenga

Thanks to the organisers, sponsors and volunteers for making this happen every week – Mark Upshall, Puarenga

Volunteers are the absolute key to parkrun around the world. The roles are not all that difficult and training is always available – Rob Hammington, Hamilton Lake

Do you know what I really love about parkrun – that even the really speedy front-runners take a turn at volunteering. Angeline Penberthy is usually near the front of the field, but today she volunteered as photographer. Thanks heaps Angeline! – Porirua parkrun team

Thank you to our Waimak Mayor, David Ayers who not only helped with the presentations but also participated in the event and New Zealand Home Loans who  brought out their BBQ trailer & sausages, but also donated spot prizes and had 3 people participating. Thanks also for the great cake the Flat White Cafe baked for us! So on behalf of all 93 participants, 7 volunteers and (I lost count of) supporters involved in the 1st Anniversary run – Thank you all very much for all your support and assistance! – Pegasus parkrun report from anniversary

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Geoff for all of his hard work, week in and week out, setting up, packing down, organising volunteer rosters, checking everything is going to plan and ensuring that all runners, walkers, volunteers and supporters have the best experience we can of parkrun. Thank you Geoff we all really appreciate your hard work and dedication, Pegasus parkrun would not exist without you. – Jackie Hancock,  Pegasus

Great to see a great turnout for the first anniversary. Well done Pegasus parkrun and Geoff McMillan for bringing it to Pegasus. Sorry I missed the cake! – Bidgie Jefferies, Pegasus
