Palmerston North parkrun December 2017

Dunedin  – 13th January 2018

Event Director, Tania, had this to say about their anniversary! -  It’s time to celebrate 4 years of Dunedin parkrun and as always there will be cake.   Traditional gifts for a 4th (wedding) anniversary are fruit and flowers … so I’ve extrapolated that into a theme for the morning and it’s time to embrace your inner-hippy – it’s “Flower Power parkrun” time!

Dress up not compulsory of course but it’s always fun – get the tie-die out or put a flower in your hair (just don’t pick it from the gardens so we don’t get in trouble).

Ming Fong 2

Ming Fong, a parkrunner and friend

Ming will be remembered fondly at Barry Curtis parkrun and we thank his family for letting us share his parkrun story here. Ming obviously endeared himself to his parkrun community and this was just a tiny part of his life, but it’s a reminder to us all how each parkrun community can become an extension…
