This is Achilles NZ’s first event for 2019 where we all come together as an Achilles family by participating in Wellington on Sunday February 17. Please make contact with your nearest Chapter leader for further details of how you can participate as we have received great support from Cigna NZ to make sure we get all of you there.
Achilles NZ – Our Vision is to provide New Zealanders with disabilities the opportunity to participate alongside able-bodied to be able to participate with able-bodied athletes in local, national and international events.

The Rotorua Marathon courses are designed to suit all; whether you are a keen marathoner or want to run (or walk) the 5.5km event with friends or family.
* Take on the Lake and compete in the “People’s Marathon” (42km) – The iconic Rotorua Marathon is Australasia’s oldest major marathon event and on a course like no other.
* The Half Marathon (21km) – run or walk this beautiful scenic course that winds through the stunning Whakarewarewa Forest and magnificent Redwoods. Introduced last year, this new mainly off-road course has a combination of forest tracks, hills, uneven surfaces and smooth gravel roads, to make for a stunning course.
* Make it a family affair – the Quarter Marathon (10.5km) and 5.5km run or walk designed for people of all abilities. The minimum age for the quarter marathon is 12 years old and 10 years old for the 5.5km run (or walk), perfect for family groups
