1 million runs in April!

Around the world parkrun chalked up 1 million runs in just the single month of April. That’s averaging over 200,000 runs every single week, amazing! The figures at parkrun continue to astound, but the principles behind each event stay true – that it will always be free for everyone taking part, that it will be organised and run by a team of volunteers, that you can use the same barcode wherever you are in the world, and that you will always get a warm and friendly welcome!

I did it!

I’m not a fast runner (Editors note: everything is relative Claire!) in fact since discovering parkrun back in 2012 I have managed to run the 5km distance in less than 30 minutes just once, and that course was nice and flat!
