A reminder that we will be running as normal on Midsommardagen, Saturday 24th June in both Haga and Örebro. Yes, there will maybe be a few people away at their summerhouses, but there will also be a lot of people who will still be in town and for whom parkrun on the Saturday morning will be a perfect way to start the day and a chance to run off the extra sill and potatis (and whatever else….) from the day before.
This week both Haga Tennis Club in Stockholm and Naturens Hus in Örebro will both be closed when parkrun is on, so we will bringing our own coffee (and maybe a cake or two if we have time) to parkrun for people to enjoy post-run. In Örebro Run Director Matt will also be putting on a grill after parkrun! Traditional Swedish dress is encouraged.
Finally, to celebrate the summer, we will be putting all the runners (and of course volunteers) who run on this day (at both Haga and Örebro) into a prize draw to win a barbeque! So tell your friends, come on down on midsommarsdagen and celebrate the start of summer in style!
Happy parkrunning and Glad Midsommar!
