Say goodbye to soggy barcodes!

barcode pic for newsletter

Being able to print out a paper barcode for parkrun is an ingenious solution to avoid having to use number bibs – but they do have a tendency to get a little bit soggy and worn after a while. A good solution is to laminate your barcode, but you can also now order your own personalised barcode credit card, wristband or key tag direct from parkrun.
They’re durable, good looking and you will never have to rush around in a panic again on a Saturday morning printing out a new paper barcode. They’re all very reasonably priced – just over 50 SEK/NOK or €5 for the credit card and 3 pack of the plastic tags, and 160 SEK/NOK or €16 for the wristbands. And now postage is FREE to send these out anywhere in the world.
What’s more, by ordering one, you will be helping to support parkrun as all profits go back to help the running costs of parkrun events worldwide.

It’s taken Klaus Kildermand a while to get to his 50th parkrun, which he celebrated this past Saturday at Vejen parkrun. Running his first parkrun in 2011, more than 7 years have passed for him to reach this milestone. But that’s not because Klaus is lacking any motivation to come down to parkrun on a…
