This weekend saw the first event in Malaysia, Taman Pudu Ulu parkrun, take place.
In slightly warmer and more humid conditions that we are used to here in Scandinavia, 129 runners took themselves around the course, with an early 7.30 start to avoid the heat later in the day.
Malaysia joins Singapore as the second Asia country to have parkrun and the first event to take place in a Muslim-majority country.

Japan will become parkrun’s 21st country when the first starts in Japan on 6th April. The first event is called Futakotamagawa parkrun and will be located in the western suburbs of Tokyo alongside the Tama river.
