We’re delighted to welcome back parkrun founder Paul Sinton-Hewitt on a trip to the Nordics at the end of May. Just over a year ago Paul joined us to run at Haga parkrun, where we were joined by our friends at SVT, who did a great piece explaining what parkrun is all about (and for those wondering, the distance run by all parkrunners is now further than from the earth to the sun.)
This time Paul & a small parkrun HQ team will be travelling further afield, on a lightning tour which will take in all four countries in the Nordics. Starting off in Uppsala on Thursday 24th May, the team will then travel to Stockholm (later on the 24th), Oslo and Malmö (25th May), Köpenhamn, Vejen & Esbjerg (26th May), Aarhus (Braband) on the 27th and Helsingfors/Tampere on the 28th May. Phew!
We look forward to meeting parkrun Event teams and dedicated parkrunners at locations all around the Nordics over this long weekend. If you’d like to know more details of Paul’s tour, then please get in touch. It’s also an ideal time to come and talk to us if you like the idea of starting up a new event but haven’t contacted us yet. We’d love to talk to you!

It’s a one-lapper in a park, offering runners a scenic, flat parkrun in an attractive urban park environment….
