Last week we wrote about our target of reaching 1000 participants in the Nordics, and we did it – just! We’re so happy to see parkrun growing in the Nordic region and this was a great step forward for us. A big thank you to everyone who contributed in making this happen and a special thanks to all the 110 volunteers that helped to organise our 17 events. Japan will become parkrun’s 21st country when the first starts in Japan on 6th April. The first event is called Futakotamagawa parkrun and will be located in the western suburbs of Tokyo alongside the Tama river. It’s a one-lapper in a park, offering runners a scenic, flat parkrun in an attractive urban park environment….
