Basildon parkrun picks up ‘Physical Activity Project of the Year’ award

Basildon parkrun has been presented with ‘Physical Activity Project of the Year’ at the Active Basildon Awards.

 

The ceremony was held at Reid’s in Billericay and was the third year they have been nominated, having been highly commended in previous years.

 

Event Director Tracy Bliss said “We started on 5 April 2014 and have average of 150 runners. We are a three lap course, around the beautiful Northlands Park that has all the facilities needed to help our parkrunners enjoy their morning. Many from our event has gone on to join running clubs as is the parkrun ethos.”
