Lowestoft parkrun Event Director, Rob Fawcett, has been named Community Champion of the Year at the Stars of Lowestoft and Waveney Awards 2017.

In accepting the award, Rob said:

“It is a pleasure to not only have won, but also to be amongst some truly inspiring finalists and fellow winners, so congratulations to all.

“This award greatly reflects my amazing team of volunteers as well as the 3,000 participants who have contributed to making Lowestoft parkrun the incredible success that it is, as without them, this achievement wouldn’t have been possible.

“Last but not least, thank you to Sentinel Leisure Trust for sponsoring my category and the fantastic prizes that came with the recognition.”
