Congratulations to Beverly Gow for winning the Mayor’s Trophy for Unsung Hero at Kingston Borough Sports Awards.

Beverly is a core volunteer and Run Director at both Surbiton junior parkrun and Kingston parkrun.

Surbiton junior parkrun Event Director Danny Norman paid tribute to Beverly by saying:

“Beverly embodies what an unsung hero is. She always gives and gives and never takes. She is always the first in line to offer and volunteer her help in almost any fashion.

“At Surbiton junior parkrun I have watched her effervescence first-hand multiple times. Beverly is an almost ever-present volunteer, often fulfilling multiple tasks when attending. She brings a joy and positivity that the juniors and adults alike gravitate toward. This award is in no doubt hugely deserved.”
