Thomas, 9, named runner up in Young Volunteer of the Year awards

Thomas Penketh, aged 9, from Harlow junior parkrun has been named as runner up in the Young Volunteer of the Year category at the 2018 Harlow Sports Awards.

 

Thomas is a regular volunteer at Harlow junior parkrun and has also volunteered at Harlow, Chelmsford juniors, Cheshunt juniors, Roding Valley, Roding Valley juniors, Poole, Castle Park and at Jersey parkrun!

 

Thomas has volunteered 132 times so far and his favourite role is barcode scanning.
