Freedom parkruns for Freedom Day

Freedom Day

As has now become tradition on Freedom Day, this 27 April, parkrunners across South Africa will be celebrating by taking part in Freedom parkruns.

What is a Freedom run?

parkrun Freedom is the ability to record your time if you run one of our courses at a different time to the normal parkrun.

To record a run just follow the parkrun Freedom link on your My Links page.

The most recent parkrun Freedom runs are shown on the parkrun results page.

Please remember that Freedom runs do not count towards your run total or any of the parkrun clubs, nor will you earn Vitality points for logging a Freedom run.  Freedom runs are not timed, and courses are not marked, so you may need to do more research than you usually might.

Where can I take part?

You can go for a Freedom run at any of our events, subject to the access of the venue – at some events, you may need to pay for entry at times other than usual parkrun times.

If you would like to take part in one of the organised Freedom runs for Freedom Day events, please note these are not organised by parkrun, but by enthusiastic members of the parkrun community. You can join for one or more of the events as listed below.
