We are very proud of our Comrades entrant for 2018, Dumisani Dosi.
Dumi moved to Wellington in 2000 and started running in 2010. He joined our parkrun in October 2016 and has completed 30 parkruns (23 of them as 1st finisher). His children are actively involved in our parkrun and Dumi has encouraged many from his neighbourhood to join the parkrun family too. He had previously completed 2 Comrades and last year he finished in 7:46. We are happy to say this year he was assisted by members of our parkrun community to get him to Comrades 2018 and he didn’t fail us, completing it in 7:00:04. He has entered four Two Oceans marathons and this year got a time of 3:58. Dumisani is well loved at our parkrun, always has a smile and is a friendly, enthusiastic volunteer.
We hope we can continue to cheer him on in more Comrades to come!
