Saturday mornings are my favourite! I can see her getting ready and I can’t help whine excitedly around my leash. Are we going yet? Are we going yet? My name is Monty and I am a 7-year-old German Shepherd.
I have been going to parkrun at Jells Park for 2 years and I love it.
When we arrive I meet up with other eager dogs and we sniff and chat with anticipation. I am impatient to start and can’t wait until… we’re off!! Faster, faster, why won’t she go faster?
I guess I can’t blame her; she does only have two legs. I can feel the wind through my fur as I run with the other dogs and humans. It is so much fun running with all these friendly people. I love when other runners give me pats and some even know my name.
When I get home I have a big sleep and sometimes I dream about running at parkrun with all my friends.
