This is Gus. We are puppy-raising for Guide Dogs NSW.
Hopefully, Gus will one day be a working guide or therapy dog but in the meanwhile our job is to give him a good start, teaching him good dog manners, introducing him to everyday life experiences & socialisation with humans & other dogs.
That’s where parkrun has been invaluable as a part of all this. Gus is now 8-months-old and has enjoyed most weeks at our local parkrun where he’s a bit of a celebrity! Which he loves of course.
Since our last fortnightly update we have seen more restrictions ease, more people reunited and more borders reopening. In that time we have welcomed 14,000 walkers, runners and volunteers to 63 Australian parkruns in the ACT, Northern Territory, Tasmania and Western Australia, with around 150 more events set to reopen over the next two Saturdays….
