I have chronic severe asthma & I’m a Personal Trainer. Most Saturdays you will see me cross the line at Wyndham Vale parkrun scan my barcode and go straight back out to finish with my PT clients.
I started taking my clients to parkrun as a way to motivate them to include more exercise in their day to day lives. I work with people that suffer mental health issues which most also have a fear of exercising in public, but parkrun has changed that! They talk about their parkrun goals and how much they look forward to Saturday mornings!

Running with a group with chronic severe asthma has always been very intimidating for me as (especially in spring) I wheeze & breathe loudly, which some people find confronting. But the beautiful people Wyndham Vale parkrun encourage me every week and I think most of them are used to hearing me behind them now.
