In February 2019 my wife and I introduced my 93-year-old uncle to parkrun and its now his favourite Saturday morning adventure.
His home course is North Sydney and they are so accommodating and friendly to Adrian, he even has a coffee afterwards with them and assists with the token sorting.
His PB at Nth Sydney is 49:37 and at Penrith Lakes he has a PB of 47:23. He likes going to different parkrun venues as he usually gets a course record for his age group, 90-94 years.
Since our last fortnightly update we have seen more restrictions ease, more people reunited and more borders reopening. In that time we have welcomed 14,000 walkers, runners and volunteers to 63 Australian parkruns in the ACT, Northern Territory, Tasmania and Western Australia, with around 150 more events set to reopen over the next two Saturdays….
