The parkrun Australia Ambassador Program was created in 2017 as a national support network of highly engaged and dedicated volunteers who are keen to be involved with parkrun outside of the delivery of our weekly events.
As part of our commitment to building our expertise in health and wellbeing in Australia, we are adding the role of Health & Wellbeing Ambassador to our volunteer network.
Health & Wellbeing Ambassadors will bring an in-depth knowledge of the public health benefits of parkrun and the rationale for signposting people to our events (through social prescribing) , ideally from being a qualified, public health or social care professional and/or an in depth knowledge of social prescribing. They will work closely with parkrun Australia’s Health & Wellbeing Team and alongside volunteer Health & Wellbeing Ambassadors in other parkrun countries.
