Margie Davis has the enviable record of a volunteer ratio of 1050% and growing!
Margie started with the fledgling Charleys Creek parkrun in September 2019 after she heard about the event. Her love of people and volunteering has taken over and is now an expert on nearly all the roles.
She has embraced the technology and week in week out she can be seen timekeeping or scanning or handing out finish tokens and above all telling everyone how easy it is and encouraging others to join.
The magnetic personality of Margie means that it is hard to turn her down!
Margie loves to catch up for coffee and breakfast after the event and keeps a wide range of people amused with her stories.
Having recently lost her long-time partner and husband, Margie, following COVID and a knee replacement, has appreciated the ready-made and supportive parkrun community that keeps her active engaged and valued.
A massive thank you to Margie and all the volunteers who make parkrun what it is.
