Three years of CONTRA

MyPost-2021-09-22T133217.551-9900000000079e3c

This week we celebrate our third birthday and what a three years it’s been!

CONTRA was founded in 2018 by Paul Sinton-Hewitt, born out of the desire to encourage anyone who wants to become more active to feel comfortable and look great in their sportswear no matter their shape or size.

All of our tops and bottoms are available in 10 sizes for men and women, and they don’t just get bigger or smaller, but they change shape, to fit and to flatter. We use a unique size chart that doesn’t define size stereotypes and choose colours that don’t standardise genders.

We also ensure that all CONTRA kit is produced in European factories, where staff are paid a fair wage and held to the highest ethical manufacturing standards.

Not only this, but we give all profit back to parkrun, helping to keep events free, for everyone, forever. So where you buy your sportswear really does have an impact.

Over the past three years, thousands of you have shown your support for CONTRA and hence for parkrun, and we’ve been able to make a real difference.

Every purchase not only fills a gap in your wardrobe but leaves you feeling comfortable, confident and ready to take on your next parkrun, mid-week stroll or trip to the gym. But more than that, your decision supports the families of our European factory workers and your favourite Saturday morning activity.

Join us as we take a look at the tradition.   For much of United States history,…

New South Wales update – 25 November

We understand there may be some uncertainty in the parkrun community regarding the planned reopening of parkrun events in New South Wales.   For clarity, parkrun events can operate when NSW eases restrictions. This means, parkrun events will reopen:   When NSW reaches 95% double vaccination or 18 December 2021, whichever comes first.   Should…
