Whilst, this week, there are no significant changes that impact the 22 countries in which we operate, we are delighted to confirm that we expect 52 junior parkrun events to restart in England on Sunday 11 April.
As we continue to work through the reopening checklist with our junior teams, and receive the necessary landowner permissions required, we look forward to many more junior events in England restarting in the weeks that follow.
Elsewhere, whilst the situation shows signs of improving in some countries, sadly this isn’t the case everywhere. For everyone reading this either entering or continuing to live with COVID-19 related restrictions, we empathise wholeheartedly. Whilst the short-term future may look challenging, we do believe that things will improve.
As the global rollout of vaccines continues, albeit at different paces across the world, and governments continue looking at how and when they can lift restrictions, the reopening of parkrun events gets closer by the day.
So whether or not you have a local parkrun event to go to this weekend, know that the community is here for you.
