This post has been updated 3rd February 2022 to reflect changes in Quebec.

We continue to review provincial and local restrictions which affect the staging of parkrun events.  These restrictions are changing frequently so while we have the following announcement to make, please note that they may change with a short amount of notice.

- Events in British Columbia and Quebec can resume from 29th January 2022 and 5th February 2022 respectively.  This does not guarantee your local event will be on, so please check on the relevant event news page or social media channel.

- Events in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick will be on pause until 19th February inclusive.  To be reviewed mid February.

- All other provinces where we have events – AlbertaSaskatchewan, and Manitoba remain unaffected and are open as before.  Please check with your local event that they will be open on any particular week.

Please be patient with events and event teams while we navigate this recent wave of restrictions.  We will continue to work with all involved to ensure your local event is open safely and appropriately.

As a result, and following a lengthy international consultation, we evolved the gender question on our registration form in 2020 to include ‘another gender identity’ and ‘prefer not to…
