parkrun Ireland win a Lord Mayor’s Award

Since 1989, the Lord Mayor of Dublin’s Awards has honoured individuals and groups who have made a special contribution to Dublin and its citizens. These Awards are Dublin city’s way of acknowledging and congratulating the extraordinary work they do.

The Lord Mayor’s Awards took place last week and we are delighted that parkrun Ireland was honoured with a Lord Mayor Award at the ceremony in Dublin’s Mansion House.

Lord Mayor of Dublin, Nial Ring said: “The Lord Mayor’s Awards ceremony is one of the highlights of my term of office. I have chosen to honour individuals and a group from many different walks of life. However, all of them have one thing in common; they have enriched all our lives in some way.”

There are now more than 11,000 walkers, joggers, runners and volunteers at more than 100 events every week in Ireland.
