With seven weeks to go, there is still time for parkrunners to sign up for the Vhi Virtual Women’s Mini Marathon! Our Vhi ambassadors are pressing ahead with their training journeys and preparation for race day on the 19 September.
This year, each of our ambassadors will be participating in the event in a different manner, showing that the Vhi Virtual Women’s Mini Marathon is open to all fitness levels, no matter whether you want to run, jog or walk the 10k.
Una Healy and Grainne Gallanagh will be running, Nadia El Ferdaoussi will be jogging and Dr Laura Lenihan will be walking the Vhi Virtual Women’s Mini Marathon on 19September.
Their training is already underway and each ambassador is following a dedicated 12-week training plan for walkers, joggers & runners designed by our Vhi Fitness expert David Gillick You can follow their journeys on their Instagram channels, @unahealy, @ggallanagh, @nadia_dailyself, @drlauragp and @DavidGillick.
Making sure participants are supported nutritionally is our Vhi Virtual Women’s Mini Marathon dietitian Aoife Hearne, who has provided eight delicious, easy to follow recipes that cover each meal during the day and snacks too!
