A look back to Vhi’s visit to Marlay Park junior parkrun

IE_VHI_AUG_WEEK_3_V3

We were delighted to see the return of junior parkrun to Ireland last Sunday. Overall, seven junior parkrun events got back up and running and it has us in Vhi reminiscing about our visit to the Marlay Park junior parkrun back in 2018.

The Marlay Park junior parkrunners gave the Vhi team such a warm welcome three years ago, for the very first Vhi junior parkrun Roadshow!

Carla Roberts from Pound Fitness got the morning kicked off on a lively note with an energetic warm up routine. Children received Vhi branded foam fingers and water bottles and were showered with bubbles as they crossed the finish line in a celebration of their achievement.

In total, 232 young runners and walkers took part that weekend, with many parents joining in the on the fun too. There were also plenty of first timers at the starting line who joined in on the 2KM parkrun.

Marlay Park junior parkrun gave the Vhi roadshow a warm welcome and we are hoping to see you all back at your local parkrun as more junior parkrun events recommence! You can check out more images from this event here
