The Vhi parkrun Hero award for the month of January has been awarded to Stephen McCormack from Longford parkrun.
The monthly award recognises and rewards inspirational, hardworking and dedicated members of the parkrun community who embody the ethos of parkrun or have made an outstanding contribution – be they walker, jogger, runner or volunteer.
Stephen is a well-loved member of Longford parkrun, he never misses a Saturday! Accompanied by his Dad, Tommy, the pair make sure to look out for each other all the time, providing each other and those around them with the motivation to keep going. Stephen embodies the ethos of parkrun through his fantastic dedication and community spirit!
Nominate a participant or volunteer for the April parkrun hero award at www.vhi.ie/running and if you are a Vhi customer you can also nominate a member of the parkrun community for the award within the Vhi app. Winners will receive a €250 One4All voucher and a winner’s medal courtesy of Vhi.
