The Vhi parkrun Hero award for the month of April has been awarded to David Kilgannon from the Pobalscoil parkrun in Co. Cork.

The monthly award recognises and rewards inspirational, hardworking and dedicated members of the parkrun community who embody the ethos of parkrun or have made an outstanding contribution.

April’s Vhi parkrun Hero, David, is a devoted member of the parkrun community, he never misses a Saturday morning. Members of parkrun know that David will be there to lend a helping hand, organising and setting up the parkrun event on a weekly basis. Not only that, but David is also always sure to encourage all participants with friendly words of motivation to help them keep going.

Nominate a participant or volunteer for the May parkrun hero award at www.vhi.ie/running and if you are a Vhi customer you can also nominate a member of the parkrun community for the award within the Vhi app. Winners will receive a €250 One4All voucher and a winner’s medal courtesy of Vhi.
