Jockey Nina Carberry joins Poppintree parkrun

Nina is in a park jogging alongside other parkrunners.

Last Saturday morning, our friends at Vhi had Vhi ambassador former jockey Nina Carberry join Poppintree parkrun as part of Vhi’s More Than Running campaign. The weather couldn’t have been better, and 178 parkrunners came out to join Nina in the sunshine.

As proud presenting partners, Vhi wants to encourage all parkrunners, regulars and newcomers alike, to celebrate the health benefits of parkrun through their More Than Running campaign. Nina was on hand to encourage the Poppintree attendees and kick off their Saturday morning with a 5k, and even manage to get a quick dance in with race director Robert Murphy!

All Poppintree parkrunners had the chance to take part in Vhi’s Lucky Dip, as well as having an opportunity to write on Vhi’s Community Wall space, leaving notes and messages of what parkrun means to them.

On 27 August, Nina and the Vhi roadshow will be visiting Ballincollig parkrun in Cork. Nina is calling all parkrunners to come along and join her on 27 August – we are hoping to see many of you there!
