The monthly award recognises and rewards inspirational, hardworking and dedicated members of the parkrun community who embody the ethos of parkrun or have made an outstanding contribution.

Christopher has been running at Ballina parkrun since it began and has completed 227 out of 229 parkruns in Ballina. The parkrunners at Christopher’s local event want to acknowledge his dedication and enthusiasm each week. Every Saturday, Christopher is excited to meet and chat with his friends at Ballina parkrun, and he has massively improved his personal best time this year!

The event directors in particular appreciate Christopher’s great help, as he is always happy to assist with instructions to get fellow parkrunners ready for the course. Whether it is rain or shine, Christopher is always in great form and keen to get going – an inspiration to everyone taking part!

Ballina parkrun is delighted to have Christopher named as the September parkrun Hero, he is an integral part of the parkrun community and brings joy, energy and motivation to the event each week.
