The Vhi More Than Running roadshow made its first stop at River Valley parkrun in Swords this past Saturday. Spirits were high as local parkrunners were joined by a team of Vhi staff volunteers, as well as Vhi ambassador Aimee Connolly who threw on a high vis and volunteered for the morning.

Vhi are proud to be the presenting partners of parkrun and are thrilled to have the Vhi More Than Running campaign back for 2023. The campaign calls on people to try out volunteering at their local parkrun, not only for the benefit of participants, but for their own health and wellbeing too. A recent Vhi survey of parkrunners centred on volunteering habits and benefits, with some impressive statistics highlighting the positive effect volunteering at parkrun can have:
There was great enthusiasm at River Valley parkrun with 112 parkrunners and 31 volunteers in attendance. All were treated to some well-deserved healthy snacks and drinks after the finish line, as well as some lovely Vhi goodies!
As part of the More Than Running campaign, Vhi will be bringing the roadshow around Ireland over the coming weeks so be sure to keep an eye out for Vhi ambassadors volunteering at your local parkrun!
