It’s amazing walking into a park in the middle of a suburban district away from the traffic. The hills and the trees seem to remove any sign of the city. Just a bunch of runners and walkers in day glow colours to brighten up the landscape.
It’s the tutu parkrun challenge today for the 22nd of September at Bothamley Park. Many runners and walkers have turned up in this fun costume. Sparkly dots are in fashion, yellow, green, red, blue, purple, and even black can be seen at the start.

Two two September means Tutu parkrun! Great fun held on the course today with many of our parkrunners in tutus!Was great to see so many people come and join us this morning for a very pleasant 12 degrees and we also have the presence of new ducklings to the park, although they got quite a fright when the siren went off, so they went into hiding! Spring is a great time to parkrun, we had 25 first timers today and it was fabulous to see how much they enjoyed crossing the finish line – we look forward to having them back soon! - Invercargill parkrun
