parkdog of the week

My name is Max Power, I’m 4 years old, and I’m a Scottish terrier crossed with bits of the best stuff! I have a number of hobbies which I take really seriously: I love to chase rabbits and flies, bark at birds, spin in circles and, most of all, sunbathe!

I love going to parkrun with my Mum and Dad. My Mum likes to run with me but my dad uses me as an excuse to stop and walk. I find the start a bit scary as I’m normal-height and easy-to-stand-on. I like it when there are cows in the paddock next-door, and when I see other people I know on the course – like my Granny.

I have run with Mum on all of her parkruns but, so far, we have only done the amazing Greytown-Woodside one. I refuse to dress up and I have a great way to ensure I never have to endure a tu-tu for long – I just shake myself until it falls off! I enjoy the “Offering” café afterwards, but only get to come if the weather is good enough to sit outside. That way, all the humans can leave treats for me on the floor!

I debated long and hard…
