parkdog of the week – East End


I am Marmite – a bouncy 6 year old black Labradoodle.


I love parkrun on Saturday mornings, especially when everyone cheers me over the finish line. I like meeting the other runners and dogs, and enjoy that everyone knows my name and says ‘Come on Marmite’.


I thought it was funny when one person asked “Is that lady [my owner, Kate] called Marmite?” when clearly it is a name for dogs, not humans.


I’ve been to most parkruns at East End in New Plymouth since they started. I particularly take delight in stopping to relieve myself and sabotaging Kate’s chance of securing a PB…
