parkrun across Sweden

Well, as well as being a fantastic location for a parkrun it was also a park I knew well myself, having worked nearby and run around hundreds of times, planning parkrun routes in my head! And whilst it’s great to have the first event in the capital city of Sweden, the motto of parkrun is to have a parkrun in every community that wants to have one.

In particular we’re looking out for people who would like to be involved in setting up events in Uppsala, Malmö and Göteborg. In all of these cities we’ve got people who are making plans to start up an event and we’re looking to build up the organising teams here to help move things forward and make things happen.

So if you know of someone in any of these cities (or indeed, elsewhere in Sweden) who you think has the passion, energy and enthusiasm to make parkrun happen where they live, please please let them know about parkrun and tell them to get in touch!
