I’m a mum of two lovely boys who are now 4 and 6 years old. I originally come from Poland and got to know about parkrun from my friend Nina, at the end of 2017. It right away sounded like something for me.
Back then I was running on pretty low levels of energy. Saturday morning used to be a time reserved for staying longer in bed which usually ended in dwelling on what has gone wrong during the week.
Thanks to parkrun those Saturday mornings are now different. There is a bunch of friendly people to see each time. We cheer on each other with “Hyvä hyvä” which translates roughly as “good good”. Everyone is welcome to join and take part at their own pace.
parkrun is the best way to start Saturdays. It gives me such a boost of energy for the rest of the weekend.
