We’re delighted to announce the plan to restart parkruns in Finland from August 7th.
With the general easing of restrictions in the country, parkruns can return safely and within the current regulations.
Tampere and Vääksyn kanava parkrun intend to start back on August 7th with Tokoinranta planning to start back later in the month.
Additionally two more Finnish events are being developed, in Espoo and Oulu. We hope to be able to start these events in the autumn. Please follow the links above to their social media pages to find out more.
All events will be returning under the parkrun COVID-19 Framework, which ensures that events will be run safely and responsibly. We will be asking all parkrunners to abide by our COVID-19 Codes for walking/running and for volunteering, which you can see below. These will be translated into Finnish and shared on event pages closer to the time of reopening.
Please see your local event’s social media nearer the time for details of the return of parkrun.
We can’t wait to be back parkrunning again on a Saturday morning!
