A warm welcome to the photo round-up from this past weekend’s parkuns around the region. We had an amazing 98 year old joining us in Finland, an amazing new Mum as a Tail Walker in Sweden, and with over 1000 participants including over 100 first-timers, it was another great parkrun weekend. First of all, we give a warm welcome back to Puloarmaari parkrun in Espoo, Finland, back after the long winter freeze which turned the course into an ice rink. Good to have you back!
In Örebro, a collaboration with Blodomloppet (a running race series promoting giving blood) saw participants wearing red t-shirts for the run

We’re pretty amazed with super-volunteer Gemma at Vallaskogen parkrun – last week taking part in the event, on Monday came the arrival of a new baby girl and on Saturday she was Tail Walking with baby Doris in the pram!

Spring is slowly arriving in Oulu, the city of Pokkinen parkrun, who this week had the honour to welcome 98 year old war veteran Veikko to their event.

Back over in Finland, Tampere parkrun could finally use their regular course again after the winter. The event was held in solidarity with Ukraine, and many runners dressed in blue and yellow to mark the occasion
