Warburtons donation to help grow junior parkrun

We are delighted to welcome Warburtons as the latest member of the parkrun community. In a three-year partnership, Britain’s largest bakery brand will donate £300,000 to help the expansion of junior parkrun.

Together we want to engage more than 60,000 new young parkrunners with our events, introducing even more families to the benefits of physical exercise. We are aiming to create more opportunities for communities to access junior parkrun, including young people in disadvantaged areas.

There are currently 82 junior parkruns across the UK and working with Warburtons, we want start a further 72 events.

Warburtons is a family-owned business and has always taken its responsibility to the communities it operates in very seriously. The company, through its Families Matter investment programme, has a long record of supporting local charities and initiatives, and we are very pleased to work with the Warburtons team as we grow our reach and community.

Both our organisations are committed to supporting people to build healthy lifestyles and promoting physical activity that is fun for all the family.
