We’d like to congratulate all our Virgin Money London Marathon runners for another record-breaking year! Together, all 240 runners, including ballot runners who chose to fundraise for us, raised £483,000!
The money will go towards vital dementia research across the country. This week is the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference 2017, the biggest annual meeting of dementia researchers across the world. During the week, a number of breakthroughs from Alzheimer’s Research UK funded studies have come to light, to view the latest news click here.
None of this would be possible without our dedicated fundraisers, and our London Marathon runners are some of the most committed people we’ve ever seen, all with their own personal experience of dementia and its devastating effects.
We’d also like to say thank you to those currently taking part in Running Down Dementia, for helping us continue to make the campaign a huge success.
Here’s a list of our top ten Running Down Dementia fundraisers, who are all doing amazingly!
