The Leap of Faith

Family Inca Trail group near Winay Wayna

Why wouldn’t you sign up to parkrun?  For some it’s the distance.  For others it’s the time.  Or it might well be something that falls under the “I’ll do it next time” category…

Every parkrunner will know these feelings as we’ve all had the butterflies before deciding to go on your first parkrun!  But taking that leap of faith and joining your local parkrun could well be one of the best things you do and not only help your heatlh and wellbeing, but introduce you to a whole new community you wouldn’t have met otherwise.

These first time feelings will be familiar to anyone who has gone on a group trip before and here at Exodus Travels we think that both after your first parkrun or trip with us, you’ll be hooked!

The actual run is in many ways only half the attraction of parkrun. Meeting new friends every weekend and being part of the local community, are great reasons for signing up.

Our favourite thing is you can join a parkrun on your own and be welcomed into the community.  It doesn’t matter if you’re on your own, dressed in lycra or fancy dress, chasing your PB or just want to get around the course, parkrun is for everyone.

When you join an Exodus trip you are signing up for more than just an adventure. Our small group holidays mirror the parkrun vibe – the chance to share experiences that bond you all together. Whether it’s reaching the summit of a mountain, walking across a desert, dogsledding through the Finnish wilderness or eating fresh seafood in Vietnam, doing it as part of a group means you are sharing the joy with each other and returning home with a whole new set of friends from around the world!  Or, if you’ve hit it off with your parkrun regulars, why not get your own group together – Exodus’ tailormade team will help you create a unique itinerary anywhere in the world as a reward for all those Saturday mornings.

Even though meeting others might not be the reason you initially thought of joining a parkrun or a trip, it might be the memory you savour the most.

Remember, if you book a trip with us, quote your parkrun ID and as part of our partnership you will get a free official and personalised apricot parkrun top for you to wear on your travels and your local parkrun!  Find out more details of our partnership and this offer here.
