Explore the Peaks for Alzheimer’s Research UK

Are you feeling adventurous? Fancy a walk instead of a run, but one that’s a challenge? Why not become an explorer, and at the same time help pioneering dementia research this September?

Alzheimer’s Research UK has launched a new event that will be perfect for anyone who enjoys a trek in the great outdoors.

ARUK Explorer is a one day, 26-mile hike in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District National Park. The event is taking place on Saturday 21 September, which is also World Alzheimer’s Day.

Enthusiastic walkers can take on the challenge, which promises a strenuous but not too arduous route through some of the country’s most spectacular countryside.

At the same time, by raising £250 for Alzheimer’s Research UK, you will be helping to make vital breakthroughs in dementia research possible.

Once you sign up, you’ll get your own ARUK Explorer t-shirt to wear as you walk. On the day, there will be friendly marshals around the route to guide you and cheer you on your way. And on completion of the walk you will receive a medal, along with something fizzy to toast your success.

Up for the challenge? Become an ARUK Explorer by signing up here.
