Banana and peanut butter smoothie

Don’t let being busy impact how you start your day. Make time for yourself and for good food. Learn how to make this super easy Banana and Peanut Butter Smoothie – a great start to the day without taking up too much of your busy morning. Perfect for breakfast or lunch on the go!


What you will need:


  • 1 Co-op Fairtrade Banana
  • 1 dessert spoon of Co-op Smooth Peanut Butter
  • 75g Bran Flakes – 1 handful
  • 200ml British Fresh Whole Milk or Oat Milk (any other form dairy alternative will work too)
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Optional teaspoon of Co-op Squeezy Clear Honey (or agave nectar if making recipe vegan)
  • Handful of ice







  1. Place bananas, milk, peanut butter, bran flakes, cinnamon, honey and ice cubes into a blender
  2. Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds
  3. Perfect for breakfast or lunch on the go!



Top Tips from the Chef!


  • Swap the milk for your favourite dairy alternative, we like oat milk best, but almond or soya milk will work well too
  • If you want to go fully vegan swap out the honey for agave nectar or a bit of maple syrup
  • You can also freeze your bananas instead of using ice
